Euphorbia Cerifera (candelilla) refined wax beads
Candelilla wax comes from the Candelilla plant, a small succulent that grows in bunches and looks like it’s all stems. The plant usually has a bluish-white
cast to it and is rarely more than a couple of feet high. Candelilla protects itself and conserves moisture by coating its stems with a fine, hard
wax witch is extracted to make Candelilla wax.
Properties: Non-gelling thickener, viscosity enhancer & plasticizer, compatible with most natural
& synthetic waxes & resins, extraordinary film forming & protecting properties, effective emollient, adds nice gloss to lipsticks.
Use: Warm to melt before use. Add to fat phase in formulas requiring emulsification. Typical use
level 2-30%. For external use only.
Applications: Creams, salves, ointments, protective creams, balms, pomades, lipsticks, mascaras,
lip gloss.
