Common uses: Meadowfoam oil is a very popular, all purpose carrier oil. It is used by manufacturers (particularly as a conditioning agent in hair care products), aromatherapists, and massage therapists.
A small herbaceous winter-spring annual plant; the seeds contain 20-30% oil, and are composed of 98% fatty acids with a very high level of oxidative stability. The name is derived from the appearance of white foam on the soil, which the plant gives when it blooms.
