This is a totally natural starch product so useful as a fragrance carrier……Natrasorb Bath is able to absorb and carry large quantities of oils and anhydrous liquids, such as bath oils. The starch is processed in a manner that creates unique pockets that can carry the oils essentially in a solid, powder form. When mixing bath milks, bath salts and bath bombs, as well as other dry products, you can add fragrance and essential oils without hydrating the powdered ingredients. Natrasorb Bath is hydrophilic so that once the starch comes in contact with water, it immediately dissolves, releasing loaded oils, fragrances and/or emulsifiers, dispersing them into the warm water. Also useful for creating a more uniform coverage and stronger adhesion of oil and colours to bath salts. The starch itself provides a soft feel to the bath water, but does not settle or leave a film. Natrasorb also helps to soften the water.
The Amount of Natrasorb required depends on the Fragrance or Essential Oils you are using. As a guide:
- Place 1/2 Cup – or 10g of Natrasorb into a bowl
- Pour in approximately 2-5ml of oil, this can include carrier oils such as sweet almond or jojoba
- Mix with spoon or spatula until the mixture resembles soft breadcrumbs
- Use straight into recipe, or if preferred, leave to dry overnight
- Bath bomb mix – use around 1 cup Natrasorb to 1kg of Citric/Baking soda mixture. Bath Milks/Salts – around 1 Tablespoon per 1 to 3 cups dry product
