Body Butter

This body butter is a silky smooth cream that I just love to use all year round. It leaves the skin feeling nourished and deeply moisturised taking away those dry legs especially when preparing your legs for summer.  Unscented the natural nutty flavour is divine or add your own fragrance to create a scent to wear all day long. It is so easy to make and will last you months as a little goes a long way.

 

Body Butter – Whipped

Ingredients

1/2 cup shea butter

1/2 cup cocoa butter 

1/2 cup coconut oil

1/2 cup light carrier oil (I used jojoba golden oil in this recipe)

* also you can add 10-30 drops of your favourite essential oil or fragrance oil.

 

Method

1.In a double boiler or glass bowl, combine all ingredients except the  Lotus Oils essential or fragrance oil .

2.Bring to medium heat and stir constantly until all ingredients are melted.

3.Remove from heat and let cool slightly.

4.Move to fridge and let cool for roughly an hour or until the mixture starts to harden but still somewhat soft.

5.Use a hand mixer to whip until fluffy.

6.Return to fridge for 10-15 minutes to set.
