Benzoin Gum is gelatinous when wet, and forms small, hard, water-soluble granules when dried, called crystals. This gum is widely used in cosmetics as an antioxidant in oils, as a fixative in perfumes or as an additive in soaps. It is also very good for use as an incense base.
