Application: Resveratrol is thought to be one of the most powerful natural antioxidants. It is a powerful antioxidant and anti-inflammatory
active which make it suitable for a range of anti-ageing products. This plant-based active was first identified in red wine as it is present in the
skin of red grapes and is the component responsible for the health benefits of that popular beverage. Resveratrol isn’t just found in grapes, ours
comes from the Japanese Knot Weed and it is also possible to extract resveratrol from blueberries. It can even be synthetically produced using microbes.

Solubility: Resveratrol can be tricky to solubilise so it is best added to an emulsion. It can be added to the water phase with glycerine,
alcohol or propylene glycol to assist in this process.

Stability: Resveratrol is heat stable but breaks down in UV light. It should be stored away from sunlight and products containing this
active should be sold in UV protective packaging.

Water soluble. Add to water based products after cooling. Not soluble in oil but can be used in an emulsion.
